Stranraer is an historic federation homestead built in 1920 from limestone gathered on the property. The property is set on 3000 acres. The homestead has been meticulously restored to its former glory as a working property, producing prime lamb and grain. Stranraer's boutique accommodation offers a country experience with peace and tranquility. Stranraer's rooms have been lovingly restored. Three of which have private bathrooms. Each room is elegantly appointed and is charmingly decorated in an individual style.

Stranraer Homestead is located 123 kilometres, south-west of Adelaide on Kangaroo Island, Australia's third-largest island. The homestead is 80 kilometres west of Penneshaw. The hotel's central location on the Island allows convenient access to wildlife other natural beauties.
