| Description of the Mataranka Homestead Resort Hotel |
Mataranka Homestead was established in 1916 as an experimental sheep and cattle station. Mataranka was the centre for the book of Elsey Station by Jeannie Gun " We of the Never Never". A replica of the homestead used in the movie of the same name stands in the grounds of the homestead. The Resort has basic motel and cabin style accommodation.

Mataranka Homestead is located on the Stuart Highway 42 kilometres south of Darwin and 107 kilometres south of Katherine. The property is located within walking distance to the Mataranka Thermal Pools.

Motel room: Child at adult rate. Maximum 2 people per room. Cabin room: Children under 15 years are charged child rate. Maximum 6 people per room.
