The main building is almost 200 years old, and is beautifully complemented by the Plantation House, an ultra modern extension built in typically tropical architecture. Both buildings together hold 98 of the most luxurious rooms on the south coast. Further facilities include a lobby, a 24-hour reception, a safe, lift access, 2 bars, a restaurant and a theatre. Conference facilities are also available and, for a fee, it is possible to use the public Internet access and laundry service. Parking facilities are offered to those arriving by car.

The hotel is situated directly by Rockley sandy beach on the south coast of Barbados, only around 10 minutes from the city centre of Bridgetown and a 25-minute drive from the international airport.

Guests have the choice between a Duplex suite, a Deluxe Poolview Suite or a Superior room (Plantation House). The rooms all come with en suite bathroom facilities with a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a video, a CD-player and a radio. There is also a mini-fridge, a coffee maker, an iron, a double or king-size bed, as well as air conditioning, ceiling fan, a safe, and a balcony or terrace. Guests can book non-smoking rooms and make use of the laundry and ironing service.

As well as a poolside snack bar there are 2 pools, one of which snakes between the fascinating new buildings. Sun loungers and parasols have been laid out ready for use. An entertainment programme and the opportunity to golf (for an additional fee) rounds off the leisure facilities on offer.
