| Built in 1902 as a tea house, and renovated in 2007, this family friendly ski resort hotel is known for its historic building and offers guests 73 rustic-style rooms. It is ideal for guests looking for a quiet retreat, with excellent, innovative cuisine and attentive staff. The views never fail to dazzle, making this jewel of the Rockies renowned, the world over. Much of the original hand-hewn log structure and decor of this hotel are still in place. Many of the architectural features from the original building have been restored. Facilities on offer to guests include a lobby area with a 24-hour reception and 24-hour check-in/check out service, a hotel safe, a cloakroom, a bar, a games room, a restaurant, conference facilities and Internet access. The hotel lies approximately 5 minutes from Lake Louise and is the only hotel just before the lake. Set in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, this location has it all. All activities and rental stations are located in the Lake Louise area and are easy to reach from the hotel. Within a 10-minute drive of the hotel, guests will find the town centre of Lake Louise, the ski slopes, the ski gondola, hiking trails, the lake and shops. Banff is a 45-minute drive away.

All rooms have feather duvets and most are furnished with antiques from the era. They all come with a private en suite bathroom with shower/bathtub, a direct dial telephone, a radio, Internet access, tea and coffee making facilities and a washing machine. Furthermore, centrally regulated heating and a safe are provided in all accommodation as standard.

Guests should take Highway 1 all the way to Lake Louise, exit at Lake Louise then turn left on to Lake Louise Drive. Follow the road up towards the lake and the hotel will be on the right-hand side.
