Description of the Allegro Playa Dorada Hotel

Offering day and night activities, a casino, an air-conditioned children's club, and a spacious beach, the resort attracts travelors from North America and Europe. Large enough to hold up to 18 convivial soakers, a cool-water spa rises on a terrace above the main pool complex. The complex includes a large activities pool with a swim-up bar and three smaller pools, one for children. Isolated away from main-pool activities, a large, free-form "quiet pool" offers tranquil sunbathing and shade under thatched-roof palapas. Guests enjoy complimentary access to a beachfront Caribbean disco at the resort's sister hotel, the Occidental Gran Flamenco, next door. Open to blue sky, green grounds, and tropically soft air, the Mediterranean-style resort contains 501 rooms in three-story white buildings with red-tile roofs. (No elevators.) Activities include a supervised children's club and nightly shows in an open-air theater. The resort purifies water but recommends drinking complimentary bottled water. This resort offers 501 guestrooms in six two- and three-story buildings. Some rooms have balconies or patios with views of the mountains or sea. Tropical-print fabrics complement the tile floors and ceiling fans. Rooms are available only in the All-Inclusive Plan.
