| Opened in 2001, this modern hotel comprises a total of 489 double rooms spread over a main building and several other buildings, by the beach. There is an elegant foyer with a 24-hour reception desk and safes awaiting guests in the main building. Other facilities in this spacious complex include a shopping arcade with a variety of boutiques, a souvenir shop and a beauty and hairdressing salon. Dining and drinking options include a number of bars and restaurants dotted around the complex (1 buffet restaurant, 4 à la carte restaurants (featuring Italian, Mexican, Chinese and a steak house), 1 fast food restaurant, beach club with a grill buffet and a pizzeria). For entertainment, a nightclub and a casino also feature within the hotel. In addition, there is a laundry service, room service, medical assistance as well as a kids' club (with supervision in the mornings and afternoons, hourly, 4-12 years) on offer. Those arriving by car may take advantage of the car park or garage. |

From Puerto Plata International Gregorio Luperón Airport: Exit the airport and turn right. Continue straight on the main highway, Av Sosúa Puerta Plata, to the resort complex of Playa Dorada. Turn right into the main entrance of the Playa Dorada complex and follow signs to the hotel.
