This distinguished beach hotel offers guests the perfect island retreat, comprising a total of 68 rooms, spread between two main buildings and an annexe building, as well as being set in about 19 hectares of its own private grounds. It is air-conditioned and its facilities include an entrance hall with 24-hour reception, a hotel safe and a currency exchange facility. Guests may also take advantage of the hairdresser, restaurant, as well as the hotel's public Internet connection. A playground, cycle hire and room and laundry services are also on offer, and there is parking available for those guests arriving by car.

The hotel is nestled on a protected stretch of Curaçao's remote south-western coastline, by a magnificent stretch of pristine white-sand beach, known as the Gold Coast. Colourful hills, bays, rocky crags and calm waters surround the resort, which is famous for its beautiful crescent-shaped bay and for its proximity to the best local sites for diving. The resort is 35 minutes from the city centre, and only minutes from Christofell Park. It is a 90-minute drive from both Montego Bay and YS falls. Mayfield Falls (45 minutes by car) and Dunn's River Falls (4 hours away) are also easily accessible. In addition, the airport is roughly 25 minutes away.

The hotel offers guests everything from standard rooms, for the budget conscious traveller, to beautiful large suites with panoramic views and balconies, loft suites with a unique spiral staircase and even a two bedroom suite, perfect for a Caribbean family holiday. All standard rooms have en suite bathrooms equipped with showers and hairdryers. A direct dial telephone, cable TV, a kitchenette and a mini fridge also come as standard, as well as an iron and ironing board, a double or king-size bed, individually adjustable air conditioning, a safe and either a balcony or a terrace.

The hotel offers a wide range of activities both on land and in the sea. From diving to tennis, from mini-golf to kayaking, there are activities here to suit all. The Activities Coordinator is an accomplished salsa professional, and gives salsa lessons to guests who want to find their Latin rhythm. The hotel has a swimming pool with a children's pool outside, surrounded by a large sunbathing area with showers, changing rooms and WCs. There are sun loungers and a Jacuzzi available for guests' relaxation, as well as a solarium and various massage and spa treatments. A tennis court and an eighteen-hole minigolf course are located near the resort lobby. On the large beach guests will find a fleet of kayaks, rafts, pedalos, and equipment for scuba diving and snorkelling. Sunset Waters has a full schedule of exciting trips and tours to fascinating attractions all around Curaçao.
