Welcome to San Francesco al Monte Convento!
Unique in location because we are in a panoramic position that embraces the entire city from the centre to the ancient gulf with its islands and Vesuvius.
All of the 44 rooms at San Francesco Al Montie , as well as the restaurants and terraces, have panoramic views.
Because we unique in having a swimming pool surrounded by greenery with a breathtaking view of the city, a hanging garden where the monks once raised vegetables, a prestigious collection of contemporary art and spaces where you can still sense the living presence of history.
A careful renovation of the old monk's cells has preserved their enchantment, architectural structure and several period details.
The decor is characterized by measured elegance: delicate colours, lamps and classic furnishings.
All the rooms have a bathtub or Jacuzzi spa and all the most modern conveniences.
The 'La Terrazza dei Barbanti' restaurant offers a spectacular view of the gulf of Naples.
The restaurants offer refined cuisine based on Mediterranean flavours and typical dishes from the Neapolitan tradition.
A restoration recovered the monastery's ancient wine cellar: this space was used to create 'La cantinetta,' an evocative spot decorated in a minimal-chic style without betraying its original vocation. It features period wrought iron tables and transparent Plexiglas chairs designed by Philippe Stark. There is an open selection of bottles of red and white wines.
There is a different menu every evening and provides for a choice of seasonal soups, a careful selection of Italian cheeses served with pickled fruits and honey, crudits and deli meats. Wine is served by the glass every evening, with a choice of 2 reds and 2 whites. There is a comprehensive wine list for the more demanding.
La Cantinetta is open every evening from 22:30 to 24:00. The 25-Euro fixed-price dinner includes wine by the glass. Wines from the list are additional.
