"Very good location for Venice - the ryanair coach drops you across the
road next to the train station and it's 10min 2euros to Venice. The room
was very cosy, lovey decor, the bathroom as very clean and nice.
Breakfast was average but fine in the morning. There's a place for
dinner next door, and a few bars around - as all over Italy! The staff
there were nice too.

The best thing about Trieste In Venice Mestre was:"Lovely room, cosy bed!
"
The worst thing about Trieste In Venice Mestre was: "Nothing really all good.

"Very reasonably priced hotel in Venice

"I spent 3 days in Venice; an actv (Italian public transport) bus comes
from Treviso airport and drops you 5 mins from the hotel; the railway
station is very close if you wish to make train trips to other parts of
Italy and I went to Padua to see St Anthony's basilica, train fares are
cheap and trains run on time unlike here. There is a very good
restaurant l'ostricaro just on the doorstep serving excellent and very
reasonably priced meals, set menus for Euro 11.00...the staff are
variable, some stroppy and some very helpful like anywhere but very few
speak English and a working knowledge of Italian would help. The
breakfast was pretty good and is enough to fill one but they shut on
time (9.30 am)so get there well before....
"
The best thing about Trieste In Venice Mestre was:"Central location, cheap, good value for money

"Good value, staff smileless but efficient, clean functional rooms; would return." |

"Overall we were pleased with this choice given our decision to spend our money in restaurants and a day trip to Verona rather than the more romantic atmosphere you undoubtedly get (but pay a premium for) in Venice. Trains into Venice every 5-10 minutes from the station across the road meant easy access to the main sights. Our room on the first floor was clean and bright with a high ceiling and walk-in cupboard giving a sense of space in a relatively small area. We were facing the road and station but were not at all bothered by noise when both heavy shutters and windows were closed, although we could hear the people above us stomping about at times. Breakfast was acceptable - not so great coffee, choice of juices, miniature cereal boxes, and croissants and bread that the management kept tight control of, bringing them out several at a time to prevent anyone eating too much. We found this quite funny and 'learned' how to play the game over the four nights we stayed. Summary: if on a budget and not after romance and sycophantic service then this hotel represents great value for money in a location that is convenient for short daily trip/s into Venice as well as day trips in the other direction (Venice only needs two days in our opinion)."
The best thing about Trieste In Venice Mestre was:"PRICE in an area with igenerally inflated hotel rates,"
The worst thing about Trieste In Venice Mestre was: "At approx. £35 per room/night B&B you get more than you pay for - no complaints."
