La Giudecca is officially included in the historical center of Venice and belongs to the sestiere called Dorsoduro. Its northern part faces the Zattere, the southern part contemplates the silent lagoon.

The Bauers BMare, an electro-solar powered shuttle, offers guests a short, leisurely ride across the Grand Canal to and from the island all day long.
