Description of the Islande Hotel

Located on the opposite side of River Daugava to the old town this is a modern, comfortable hotel with extensive spa treatments and facilities. Light, bright reception area which features a lobby bar and main restaurant. There is an additional restaurant located at the top of the hotel which has great views across Riga. In addition to this the hotel has a modern bowling alley (3 lanes), billiards table and bar area (guests can book and pay for locally). Bedrooms are decorated in a neutral style and offer functional, Scandinavian style comfortable accommodation. Great value and standard of accommodation and facilities.


Restaurant:-	Main lobby restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner; there is also Artic Lights which is located on 9th floor and open for lunch and dinner, offering great views across Riga
Families:-	There are rooms suitable for 2 adults and 2 children (may need to up-grade to superior room); cots are available for babies
Business facilities:-	There are 6 meeting rooms with maximum capacity of 300 people; there is also a 24 hour business centre.
Disabled facilities:-	The hotel is suitable for wheelchair users; public areas are accessible and there are specially adapted bedrooms for wheelchair users
20 mins walk:-	Old Town of Riga, Shopping centre, historical buildings, monuments and museums, restaurants and bars of the old town
Public transport:-	Bus and trolleybus stop across the street from the hotel
From the airport:-	Taxi from the airport takes approx. 10/15mins and costs approx. 7Lvl; there is a bus from the airport which takes approx 15/20mins and costs 0.20Lvl
Parking:-	Private uncovered parking €3 per day
Bar:-	Open daily from 11.00 to 00.00; snack menu available
Spa:-	The hotel offers extensive lists of spa and beauty treatments; from facials and massages (over 10 types) to hot stone and specialised treatments. There is also a bath area which offers sauna, steam room and cold dip pool; there is also a solarium. (All treatments need to be booked and are payable locally). The bath area is free of charge to hotel guests from 07.00 to 11.00. Beauty treatments and hair salon is open from 08.00 to 22.00
Gym:-	mini gym but with modern high tech equipment open daily from 11.00 to 23.00 and free of charge to hotel guests
