The Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach, is one of the first of a 4 hotel complex, situated on the Mayan Riviera, just 20 miles from Playa del Carmen, and 1 hour from the airport at Cancun. The property has several Mayan Ruins, huge cenotes and 2 natural wonders, together with 5 virgin beaches up to 3.000 ft extension, making the location one of the best on the entire Mayan Riviera.
The largest coral reef on the Mayan Riviera is situated in front of our beaches. It is perfectly accessible to swimmers, and of immense interest for anyone experienced in deep sea diving. The Yalkú lagoon, near Akumal, is connected to the sea, and the combination of sweet and salty water provides the ideal conditions for parrotfish, huge turtles and other tropical fish.
It is interesting to note that a cenote (natural cave) is formed by subterranean water, which, being filtered by the rocks, has a high level of purity. The caves are usually round shaped, and due to their proximity to the sea, the water has a salty taste, at the same time retaining a transparent, clear quality in most of them. The cenotes are sacred spots for contemporary Mayans, just as they were for their ancestors. Legend has it that the water in these caves is totally pure, as it has not been touched by daylight.
The hotel offers 450 twin rooms, measuring more than 450 square feet all with Jacuzzi. All the rooms have two full-size beds or a king size bed, independent air conditioning system, ceiling fan, private bath with hairdryer, telephone, 25 satellite TV, mini-bar, tea & coffee making facilities, safety deposit box and private furnished balcony.

There are also day and evening entertainment; dancing lessons and a wide variety of shows and themed evenings.
