| Renovated in the year 2000, the hotel includes 312 rooms over 15 floors of which 299 are doubles and 13 are suites. The hotel has a 24-hour reception with 4 lifts and a newspaper stand. Guests are also offered a souvenir shop, a hairdresser's salon, a boutique, a bar, a games room and an air-conditioned à la carte restaurant. A public Internet terminal is additionally on offer to hotel guests. Those arriving by car may make use of the car park or garage. Younger guests are offered a kids club (in the sister hotel, Dom João II, and a bus transfer is inclusive) and playground to let off steam. This hotel is located on a hill directly beside the sea. It is 200 m to the nearest inviting beach. Scores of shops and other entertainment venues are located in the centre of Alvor, just 1 km away. The hotel operates its own shuttle bus, which runs twice a day to Portimão, which is 6 km away. The airport is 70 km away.

The hotel offers sport enthusiasts' tennis (on 7 tennis courts), table tennis, volleyball, snooker, bicycle/mountain bike hire and a gym (some of which incur an additional fee). The seasonal entertainment programme, with a show theatre for live music, dancing, fado or folklore, is also offered for alternative amusement options. | How to get there: |
Leave the airport and follow the signs to the highway A22. Take A22 in the direction of Portimão/Lagos. Leave A22 at the exit 4 Alvor. You will find two roundabouts. Follow the signs to Alvor. First, appears Montes de Alvor after an aerodrome, then signs to Pestana Hotels such as Pestana Alvor Praia, Pestana Delfim, Pestana D. João II Village, Pestana Alvor Atlântico and Pestana Alvor Park. Continue until Alvor village. All Pestana hotels are clearly signposted from Alvor center.
