The brand new Funchal Design Hotel Madeira is the epitome of a sexy, sassy and intimate hotel best enjoyed without children in tow! With just 16 rooms on offer, this is a true boutique hotel offering a slice of city chic in the heart of Funchal. Warm rich tones, tasteful art and a "must do" restaurant with relaxing bar for that all important aperitif before dinner. The rooms are well appointed and have been designed with comfort, thought and care. It's a quality offering and this is very visible from the fixtures and fittings. This is a great choice and worth experimenting with, as Funchal Design is quite an original find on the island.

| Restaurant:- | Offering Buffet or á La Carte service with a menu that is strictly selected for your enjoyment. With international and regional Menus that you can also combine with one of the many top quality selected table wines. The restaurant is open from 7.30am for breakfast and is open until 10pm, serving lunch and dinner. The breakfast is continental style and the them of the cuisine is Italian Bistro style. |
| Families:- | The hotel is a boutique hotel and as such is more suited to couples. However the hotel does offer some facilities for children including baby cots, inter-connecting rooms and high chairs for the restaurant and a specially prepared children's menu. |

| Disabled facilities:- | The hotel does offer lifts with wheelchair access, though rooms have not been specifically modified. |
| 20 mins walk:- | Funchal centre, the Funchal Shopping Complex, The harbour, City Cathedral, shops, bars and restaurants. |
| Public transport:- | The hotel is in the city centre, a bus stop for onward travel is located just 50m from the hotel. |
| From the airport:- | A taxi direct from the airport to the hotel will take approx. 25 - 30mins and c. 25 - 30 Euros. |
| Parking:- | The hotel does not offer its own parking, although you can park in the streets around the hotel (current cost 10 Euros per day, though this is subject to change). |
| Bar:- | The bar (situated within the restaurant) is open from 7.30am - 2am. Snacks are also served within the bar area. |
| Gym:- | Guests have free use of the gym at the Quinta Mirabella (Sister hotel of the Funchal Design) |
| Room facilities:- | Well appointed and very modern, the rooms offer a slice of contemporary design and city chic in the heart of the garden island. All the rooms offer kitchenettes which are great for rustling up light meals "Al Fresco". Quality appliances are also provided in your room. |
