| This hotel is spread between 2 buildings, each of 3 floors and comprises 40 double rooms and 3 suites. A lobby area with 24-hour reception welcomes guests and offers a valuables' safe and a lift. Additionally a newspaper stand, a games room and a TV room are also offered. Guests may take a drink in either the café or bar as well as dine in the cosy restaurant. A laundry and room service are offered and guests may park their cars in either the car park or garage. |

This hotel is located on the wild and romantic north coast in Santa, amidst untouched nature and around 2 km from the sea. The near vicinity offers restaurants and links to the public transport network.

The comfortably furnished rooms come with an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, tiled flooring, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a balcony, a king-sized bed, a hire safe and central heating.

Guests may select their breakfast meal from an ample buffet; the midday and evening meals are available à la carte or can be chosen from a menu. It is possible to book a half-board stay.

The hotel grounds offer a swimming pool as well as sun loungers and parasols. Additionally, the hotel offers an indoor pool, a whirlpool, a sauna and a small gym to those wishing to relax or work out.

"Nice hotel in good location." |

"We stayed at 'o Colmo' in April 2006 for 2 nights during a tour of
the north coast of Madeira. We had a very quiet room overlooking the
rear of the hotel. Front is next to a fairly busy road, so maybe noisy?
Room was normal size, very clean and perfectly adequate. We had a lovely
meal the first night of our stay. Fairly varied menu. Dining room is a
little dark, but ok. The bar closed early but we didn't mind because we
were tired from travelling, but it might be a problem if it is a regular
occurance. Staff were very friendly. There is a good, clean pool and
gym. The whole hotel was quiet, not many people staying, but maybe not
many people tour the north coast? Perhaps they stay in Funchal. Santana
is a fairly quiet place and we didn't see much else in the way of
hotels but there were one or two bars. There was building going on in
the town so maybe there are other hotels now."
The best thing about O Colmo was:"Good buffet breakfast."
The worst thing about O Colmo was: "Not many people there, but perhaps it was low season."
