The hotel is situated in inviting and picturesque countryside, with day trips into the surrounding area offering a host of other new adventures. The surrounding villages reveal their special features amid tangible traces of the past. In Skomarje, the birthplace of the national poet and singer Jurij Vodovnik, the characteristic Pohorje architecture has been preserved and guests can visit the Skomarje house (Skomarska hisa), low wooden, shingle-covered houses with attractive interiors. Another place to visit, typical of the region, is the St. Lamberta church, first mentioned in official documentation in 1313. In this part of Zresko Pohorje, the natural environment is unspoilt and the traditional way of living has survived.

For an additional fee, guests may take advantage of the Olympic centre at Rogla which has a large gymnasium for playing basketball, handball, seven-a-side soccer, volleyball, tennis and badminton. The centre is complemented by a smaller sports centre for martial arts, table tennis, squash, and an up-to-date gym. People enjoying recreational sports and athletics also have at their disposal outdoor facilities: 4 clay tennis courts, an asphalt tennis court, handball and seven-a-side court, basketball and volleyball court and soccer (football) stadium with artificial-surface athletics track. Horse riding and mountain biking are also available for an additional fee. There are entertainment programmes on offer for both adults and children. Slovenske Konjice Golf Course is around 25 km away.

Guests arriving from Maribor airport should take the A1/E57 towards Ljubljana and continue on A1/E57, taking the exit Slovenske Konjice and then turning right onto the local road 686 (towards Slovenke Konjice, Zrece-Rogla). Turn left into local road 430 (for Slovenke Konjice, Zrece-Rogla) and then turn right into the 701 (for Zrece-Rogla), up a small hill. At the first crossroads turn left, continue straight on, and the hotel is on the left-hand side. From Ljubljana airport: take the A2/E61 motorway and follow signs for Celje/ Maribor/ Graz, follow the A1/ E57 motorway and take the Slovenske Konjice exit. Turn right onto local road 686 (for Slovenke Konjice, Zrece-Rogla), turn left into the 430 (for Slovenke Konjice, Zrecce-Rogla) and then turn right onto the 701 (for Zrece-Rogla), up a small hill. At the first crossroads turn left, continue straight on, and the hotel is on the left-hand side. From Graz airport: go towards SLO Spielfeld, continue on the A9/E57/E59 and enter Slovenia. Then drive towards Maribor, continue on the A1/E57/E59, at the roundabout, take the 1st exit and continue on the H2/E57/E59 towards Ljubljana and then the A1/E57. Take the Slovenske Konjice exit, turn right onto local road 686 (for Slovenke Konjice, Zrece-Rogla), turn left onto the 430 (for Slovenke Konjice, Zrece-Rogla) and continue straight on. Turn right on local road 701 (for Zrece-Rogla), up a small hill. At the first crossroads turn left, and continue straight on and the hotel is on the left-hand side.
