Description of the Alixares Hotel

With a fantastic location right opposite the much visited Alhambra, the Hotel Alixares is in a great spot for visiting this impressive monument and gardens, or for taking a stroll downhill through wooded streets to the city centre. The Moorish style of the area is reflected in the decor of the hotel's spacious entrance hall and cafe bar. Bedrooms are agreeable and have been refurbished in a blue and cream colour scheme with laminate or marble flooring. There is an attractive outdoor swimming pool and terrace.


Restaurant:-	International buffet restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch from 12.30 to 3.30pm and dinner from 7.30 to 10.30pm.
Families:-	Rooms can accommodate up to two children sharing a room with two adults. There are some interconnecting rooms. Cots and highchairs can be provided.
Business facilities:-	Some rooms have modem point for internet access. There are three meeting/conference rooms with a capacity of 40 to 240 people.
Disabled facilities:-	Wheelchairs can access the lifts but not all areas of the hotel have ramps. Due to the hilly nature of the area, this location may not be suitable for those with walking difficulties.
20 mins walk:-	Alhambra, Albaicin area, bars, restaurants, shops, parts of the city centre.
Public transport:-	Local bus stop at the Alhambra, 50m (164 feet) for regular bus service, approx. every 10 mins, to the city centre.
From the airport:-	From Granada airport, 17 km (10.5 miles), taxi direct costs c. 25 Euros and takes around 25 mins; local bus costs c. 3 Euros. From Malaga airport it is 2 hours drive.
Parking:-	Private garage costs c. 12 Euros/day. Public parking also at the Alhambra costs c. 12 Euros/day if a hotel guest.
Bar:-	The bar is open from 8am until midnight. Light snacks are available form the bar.
Room facilities:-	Safe in room costs c. 2 Euros/day.
Pool:-	Outdoor pool is open from 11am to 8pm during summer months.
Directions:-	From the Granada ring road "Circunvalación" take the exit "salida" 132 signposted Ronda Sur, S. Nevada, Alhambra.

"Good value in a great location "
	"The hotel was easily accessible thanks to an excellent minibus service. Its location next to the Alhambra meant that you felt closer to nature and it was quieter than in the town centre. "Exceptionally great value for money"
	"This is a really great value hotel ,clean and really well maintained- the staff were all really helpful and the pool was great (albeit a bit cool!) After a day exploring . whilst not in a central location there was easy access to the centre with a good choice of restaurants and bars on the doorstep.
