| During the 2006 renovation of the building its façade and structure, typical of the historic quarter Madrid de los Austrias, were preserved in their original style. The air-conditioned buildings have a terrace outside and comprise a total of 169 rooms, of which 5 are junior suites and 2 are suites. In addition to this facilities including an entrance hall with 24-hour reception, a hotel safe, a currency exchange counter, a cloakroom and lift access are available to all guests. There is also an on-site café, bar, restaurant and conference room, and guests may make use of the hotel's wireless Internet connection, laundry and room services. |

The hotel is located right in the historic centre of Madrid between Puerta del Sol and Plaza de Cibeles. A few metres away are the government building Congreso de los Diputados and the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza. Other major museums and sights are a short walk from the hotel, as well as the commercial and tourist district, centring on the vibrant street of Gran Via. Close by there are is also a bus stop and Atocha railway station. Barajas Airport is approximately 15 km from the hotel.

The modern rooms are practical and comfortable in design. They each come with a large en suite bathroom with hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite TV, a radio and Internet access. A safe, a minibar, heating, air conditioning, a balcony or terrace and either a double or king-size bed also come as standard. Disability-friendly rooms are also available on request.
