"Booked a Monday to Saturday to coinside with the La Tomatina, Just me
and my sister (35 & 38 still young adults !). So much to see and do we
didn't go to the fight, didn't bother us, the day before the fight the
place was crawling with young Australian's, gap years (nothing against
Australians) and at 35&38 we didn't feal that young ! The city centre's
a short taxi ride from the very clean city airport, think it was about
13 Euro and 15 mins. The Venecia is dead central, just round the corner
from the market, cathedral and shops etc. It's a no frills yet clean
hostel, rooms were cleaned and towels changed everyday. Breakfast was
okay (sis loved it !), a buffet brecki that was kept topped up at all
times, finished serving at 11am. We went down to the harbour and
Oceanograffic, both about 7euros in a taxi. Taxi rank just over the main
road from the hostel. Eating out was good, found a lovley place in the
Cathedral square, approx 18euro for a main course. Ideal place for a
city break, loved it, will definitely go back.
"
The best thing about Venecia was:"Excellent central location
"
The worst thing about Venecia was: "City centre noise

"Went there for La Tomatina 2008. Perfect for what looking for. I went
with my girlfriend and 7 others all wanting different things. For me the
old town and central Valencia were literally on the doorstep with the
train station walking distance to go to La Tomatina. For my girlfriend
the lovely beach was a 15 min 1.20 Euro bus ride away with the bus stops
right outside. Hotel was great. Clean and professional, just what was
required for the 4 days there. Plenty of bars and restuarants within
walking distance. Totally recommended. If I had to make one small niggle
it would be the noise levels some nights/early mornings just from
valencian dustbin collections etc. The hotel is an old style building
and does not have double glazing to block some of this out. Not a real
problem overall as had drank plenty of wine and beer to knock me out!
Overall really great place.
"
The best thing about Venecia was:"Location, cleanliness, value, atmosphere. Free internet.
"
The worst thing about Venecia was: "Rooms can vary in size a little but still all v good. Noise occasionally
meant early morning wake ups - something i'm not a fan of at all on
holiday! (Breakfast is not part of the price by the way! :) )

"Ideal City Break Hotel

"My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Venecia Hotel.
Initially we were given a room that was a bit dark and asked if we could
have a room overlooking the Square. This was no problem and the view was
fantastic, especially at night when the fountain was illuminated and
changed to different spectacular colours. The room was clean with en-
suite bathroom and there was a sliding door out to small balcony where
we could sit and watch the city life below. We chose to have the
continental breakfast in the hotel and there was a good choice of
savoury items, such as cheese and salamis and also pastries, yoghurts and
fresh fruit. The Breakfast Room overlooks the square ( on the second
floor) (very nice).
"
The best thing about Venecia was:"Location and value
"
The worst thing about Venecia was: "No English News stations on T.V. (would have been nice but not vital)

"A fantastic lovation for a very reasonable price... Highly recommended" |

"We booked this hotel room over the internet, going by a favourable
review in a travel book.
Upon enterring the square -
Ajuntamiento, we we gob smacked by how gorgeous the location
was!
We were offered a choice of two rooms, either a quite
internal room, or a slightly noisier external room, with a
view.
Well......we were very glad we chose the external room, the
view from the window was fantastic, looking right out onto the main
square. Wow.
The room was a standard double room, with tv, en
suite etc, very well maintained and clean.
The staff were polite,
and helpful.
The breaksfast room was small, and breakfast was
simple spanish items and toast. But clean and easy all the
same.
The hotel is located ideally for all the main areas of the
city, although Del Carmen (the main young and lively area) is a little
away, but there are loads of bars and restaurants in and around the
cathedral square, so you won't struggle for a bite to eat and a
drink!
The beach is not very close at all, we didn't bother
going, but it's on the other side of the city, so a bus journey away
I'd say.
There is a taxi rank opposite the hotel too, so dead
easy for getting to the airport, which is only a 15 minute taxi ride
away.
In conclusion..... Highly recomended!"
The best thing about Venecia was:"The view from the balcony"
The worst thing about Venecia was: "Nothing"
