| The resort is a real unique and scenic place. It is magic Paradise with the music of the sea. The main building has been built on the reef in such a soft way that the guests can enjoy the breakfast facing the reef. The resort has in front a very strong reef which defends the property and this makes a big difference. |

It is about 1 hour from Galle, 1.5 hour from the most precious parks Bundala, Uda Walawe and Yala, 2 hours from Sinharaja Forest, 2,5 hours from Ratnapura (gem mining) and many other excursions.

All the standard guest rooms feature spacious bedroom with canopied beds and sitting areas decorated with Sri Lankan style furnishings. All rooms have a terrace with ocean view. Services and amenities in the rooms include a refrigerated mini bar, tea / coffee maker, telephone, fan, air-conditioning and daily housekeeping service.

The restaurant offers casual dining in a Sri Lankan setting and features Sri Lankan and European specialties with particular attention to Italian cuisine. There are often buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner but there is also the possibility of enjoying an ala carte menu or special options including a fresh sea food menu. For lunch the pizzeria is open and the pizza's are baked in a traditional Italian stone oven. The bar offers poolside drinks and snacks.

The hotel has a fresh salt seawater swimming pool. A jacuzzi is situated next to the swimming pool. At the beach, windsurfing, body surf boards, canoes and snorkeling equipment are available, weather and tide permitting.

| How to get there: |
The Resort is situated 210 km from the international airport, in the south. Bandaranaike airport is the only international airport in Sri Lanka at present and is situated about 30 km north of Colombo. Travel time between the airport and Colombo is about 1 hour. Most international flights arrive late evening or early morning and guests have an option of taking a vehicle or Air Taxi direct to Dickwella Resort or stay overnight in Colombo.The advantage of transferring by vehicle late evening or early morning is that the roads are quieter and thedrive will take about 3 to 4 hours.
