The advertisement for the opening of the Grand Hotel in 1874 states that the "Grand Hotel offers all the comforts that can be expected from a first-class hotel." The text could have been written today! The Grand Hotel is an international hotel and a member of The Leading Hotels of the World. Few other hotels in northern Europe are in the same class. This has made the Grand Hotel an obvious first choice for great personalities, well-known and not-so-well- known, during their trips to Stockholm.
The Grand Hotel has 376 rooms including 42 suites, all individually designed and with its own distinctive character. The Grand Hotel is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World. The Grand Hotel lives up to that standard and does everything to meet, and exceed, the expectations of its guests.
The Grand Hotel is a hotel and meeting-place with room for almost everything within its walls. Our guests need hardly ever leave the hotel. Everything a guest needs is provided within the hotel, and if it is not, we can arrange it. Naturally, we provide service round the clock. Our aim is that all our guests should be happy and satisfied, whatever their requirements are. In the first hand, it is the concierge who helps our guest with their needs and requirements.
The Fitness Centre is run by Sturebadet, which for over a hundred years has been one of Stockholm's most famous gymnasia. The Fitness Centre is an exclusive and modern gym with a relaxation lounge and café. The gym offers the latest exercise and fitness equipment and several different SPA-treatments. It is a good place to round off an action packed day, or to prepare for one.
Food and drink have always had a central place at the Grand Hotel. Every day, a large number of people eat and drink at the Grand Hôtel. The Cadier Bar is an international cocktail bar. In the relaxed environment, experienced bartenders serve drinks from every corner of the world. A selection of bar food is also available. The Cadier Bar, named after the hotel's founder Régis Cadier, is a popular meeting-place, for the guests of the hotel as well as for discerning Stockholmers. We are now re-developing but will remain open as usual.
