| Description of the Darioli Hotel |
Located in the centre of Zermatt, The Darioli Hotel offers a great little rustic hideaway that is typical of the picture postcard hotels in this pretty mountain resort. Opened in 1964, the Darioli has remained in the family since then and offers a personalised and first class service. There are two restaurants adjoining and owned by the Darioli family and a cosy bar in the lounge for a nice cup of mulled wine to warm you up.

| Restaurant:- | "Le Gitan" offers a rustic atmosphere by candlelight with a range of simple dishes including fish, meat and chicken. The setting is all quite romantic in a traditional kind of way. "Zermatterstubli" is a more traditional choice offering a wide range of choice Swiss dishes including "Bratwurst" "Rost" and spaghetti dishes. |

| From the airport:- | Zermatt is around 3hrs from Geneva and 4-5hrs from Zurich and Basel by efficient train service. Helicopter transfers are also available through Air Zermatt which take half the time. From December 2007 the train journet will be significantly reduced in time by over an hour due to a new tunnel between "Frutigen" to "Raron". |
