Description of the Swiss Quality Claridge Hotel Tiefenau
One of the oldest in Zurich - was built in 1835, and still conveys the comfortable serenity of an affluent merchant's house. Set in flowered gardens, the hotel is in a very peaceful residential area, close to Zurich's art gallery and main theatre. The hotel has its own parking spaces. In January 2002, the ground floor of the hotel was completely renovated by the famous interior designer, Pia Schmid. The new lobby has been created with Feng Shui in mind, using running water and creating a clear view through the reception into the hotel kitchen. In the new and trendy restaurant concept "Orson's" restaurant, lounge and bar, Euro-Asian cuisine is served, with 30 wines even available by the glass. The "Zuri-Stube" serves, now as before, well-known local specialities from Zurich. The 35 spacious superior rooms and junior suites combine the style of the French King Louis XV.
