"This hotel was in the best location. Really close (5 min walk) to Times
Square not far from Central Park, walking distance to Broadway. Our room
was clean but small (how much time can you spend in the room when you
are in New York?) So it was perfect. The bathroom was gorgeuos. We were
between the stairs and service lift but there was only a little noise.
The reception was lovely and the staff helpful. The view from the room
was not nice but again we did not go to spend time in the room. Had a
great trip.

""Excellent value and friendly service"

"The accomodation at the hotel is of the same standard as that
advertised on the website. It is clean, modern, comfortable and
friendly. The quadruple room offered good value for money for a family
of three adults. The rooms are well equiped apart from tea and coffe
making facilities, but tea and coffee is complimentary in the lounge. A
substantial breakfast menu is available just around the corner at the
'Europa Cafe' and the hotel is central for Broadway and Times Square.
We have used this hotel twice now and recomend it as very good value
for money.

"Hotel was in a good location. However we had issues with our bath being
blocked. After telling reception staff, it still wasn't fixed by the
time we left. Besides that one issue, staff were generally friendly and
our experience was ok.

"Good value in a great location
" |

"This is a fine hotel for the money in its location in New York. I
believe it must have been refurbished as a boutique hotel about five
years ago and it will soon need to be done again. Nonetheless it retains
its stylish charm, the staff are very helpful and accommodating. On
balance highly recommended.

The best thing about Ameritania Hotel was:"Good service, helpful staff
"
The worst thing about Ameritania Hotel was: "It is probably getting near to the point where it needs to be

"Great location, very average rooms but quiet and clean
" |
|
"The lobby to the Ameritania is quite trendy and modern, and you intially
think you have got the best bargain in town, being just off Broadway up
from Times Sq. First room we were offered was third floor on B'way and
was far too noisy with a very nasty smell in the corridors! Offered a
ninth floor room, was tiny but quiet (not outward facing) and clean and
was fine for a hectic tourist trip to ny where the room is only really
used to fall asleep in after a long day and night out. For the price, I
would say this was good value for money, especially given the location.
"
The best thing about Ameritania Hotel was:"Location, lobby/bar
"
The worst thing about Ameritania Hotel was: "Tiny rooms, bit tatty round the edges

"We enjoyed staying at this hotel. The staff were unobtrusive but
very helpful when requested. The bathroom was a little tired, but
the accommodation as a whole was very spacious and very comfortable.
Excellent location for subway lines and a very handy salad bar /
food shop opposite, as well as Broadway and Central Park. No extra
taxes payable.

The best thing about Ameritania Hotel was:"Very spacious room, excellent beds

The worst thing about Ameritania Hotel was: "Rather dark interior (lobby, corridors)

"Decent room, funky bar/reception, fantastic location." |
|
"I was really pleased with this hotel for a weekend stay in New York. It
was very good value, especially given its location right in the heart of
Manhattan. The bar area was a great place for sipping Cosmopolitans
before heading out on the town, and the room, though fairly basic and a
bit dark, had everything I needed. I would definitely stay there again."
The best thing about Ameritania Hotel was:"Low price for such a central location"
The worst thing about Ameritania Hotel was: "Nothing much, though the corridors were a bit stuffy in the hot
weather."

"Great value in ideal location" |
|
"We would recommend this hotel for anybody travelling to ny and wanting
to be near the heart of Manhattan. You are literally minutes away from
the vibrant activity of Times Square but far enough away if you want to
get some well earned sleep after a hectic day and evening of sight
seeing and over indulgence.
The hotel provides a real
contemporary feel from the lobby reception area bar and into your room.
You can see indeed why the like's of Sinatra would have found this an
ideal retreat for a quiet drink after an evening's performance to sit
back and chill out in the fantastic surroundings.
Don't expect
luxury, but for what is a relatively low room rate for Manhattan expect
more than a basic bed for the night!"
The best thing about Ameritania Hotel was:"Central location at good value for money in reasonable quality room"
The worst thing about Ameritania Hotel was: "Can't fault it for value"

"Great location but very hot rooms!" |
|
"The hotel was in a fantastic location - on broadway and five mins from
Times Square. Our only complaint was that the room was boiling as the
air conditioning was virtually non-existent and it was difficult to
sleep in (we went in October so it wasn't the height of summer). In
general, the room could have done with a little modernisation. Despite
that, I would stay again and would recommend to others."
