| Description of the Hudson Hotel |
Hudson Hotel is located in the heart of Manhattan in the world famous shopping district, one block from Central Park and Columbus Circle, walking distance to Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and Times Square. Hudson was designed by Philippe Starck and offers chartreuse-lit escalators that sweep guests to a 40-foot high ivy-covered lobby, an enormous indoor/outdoor private park and a ceiling fresco by world famous painter Francesco Clemente. The guestrooms were inspired by the romance of ocean travel, most with fantastic views of the private park. The walls are panelled in imported African wood, flowing white curtains, sleek stainless steel tables and brass riveted furniture. Hudson also has a rooftop solarium and conservatory for use during the summer, 24 hour state of the art gymnasium, the Hudson Bar with a glowing glass floor, Courtyard Garden open to the sky and the Hudson Cafeteria, critically acclaimed restaurant

"Bad Value - Horriffic Staff Attitude

"At first glance, the hotel looks stylish, debonair and everything we
were looking for for our trip to New York. Check in staff were
fantastic, and very informative.. The first evening of our trip to New
York, we went shopping and bought what can be described as designer
clothing and we had approx 2 bags with us each. We wanted to go to the
bar for a beverage, however, we were ushered not once but twice and
hurded by what can only be described as brainless ignorant brash girls
who apparently worked for Hudson. We were then ushered to a back table,
and then after 15 minuets waiting for somone to take our order that
there was a bag check policy.. However when we left the bar area - many
of the clients in the bar area had shopping bags with them.. This first
experience however stopped us using any of the other bars, and eating
places in the hotel. We spent our money in Bungalow 8, Ramseys, Sapa,
Oscars etc.. However Hudson failed to deliver what we were expecting..
"
The best thing about Hudson was:"Front Desk Staff
"
The worst thing about Hudson was: "Bar/Staff
