"Great Location - but lacking in details" |
|
"We were in Room 335 from 21st July - 24th July. a Quad room - 2 double
beds. The room was fine with plenty of storage space, even though the
bathroom was small. We were asked at checkin if we wishedto upgrade to a
suite but declined. Not aware if this was an option when we booked. The
only complaint I would have is one of the beds, the one my husband and I
shared was past its best, if you turned over you went into the middle
and it needed a new mattress. Also toiletries and towels for 2 persons.
We told them about the bed at 8 am the first morning but nothing had
been done by 6pm. Eventually they put a board under the mattress which
did nothing to change it."
The best thing about Intercontinental Barclay was:"Location, Location, Location. Great for shopping, eating and
sightseeing all within easy distance."
The worst thing about Intercontinental Barclay was: "Poor service. Had to request extra towels 3 times on the first evening.
Uncomfortable bed see above."

"Sensational hotel in a great location" |
|
"Stayed there with a friend in January 2006 for a long weekend. Check-in
was extremely efficient, absolutely no quibbles with the pre-paid
voucher. R
Probably the highest spec room I've yet stayed at, almost
a shame not to spend more time in the room! R
Great location close
to Grand Central station and not far from Time Square. "
The best thing about Intercontinental Barclay was:"Very well furnished room, location."

"Friendly and warm in a good location." |
|
"This hotel was very nice to stay in. It was easy to get to the tourist
attractions and it was warm and welcoming. R
I wasnt impressed
with the restaurant suggestions from the concierge, althought she tried
she pointed us in a direction away from everywhere, in the business
district, so no bars or clubs were close by. It would have been more
helpful if she had given more suggestions to meet our needs.
The
suite we stayed in was beautiful, yet small. The bed was extremely
comfortable, I didnt want to get out!
Would give this hotel 4
stars out of 5"
The best thing about Intercontinental Barclay was:"A feel of luxury and wealth"
The worst thing about Intercontinental Barclay was: "We had the suite and it was small, the view was poor too."

"Highly enjoyable stay in a good location" |
|
"The Barclay Hotel was an excellent and luxurious hotel for a New Year
treat. The staff were extremely friendly, especially the expert bar man.
The room were an excellent size and very well kept! It is a great
location close to shops and numerous eateries. The only criticism I
would have of the hotel was the food, we booked for the New Year Menu
and were sadly disappointed, it was expensive and the majority of what
was served was not as it was described on the menu, a real let down!"
