"This was the best hotel of the 5 I stayed in I califonia. It is 20 mins
from the Yosemite vally, it is cheap, it has nice hbo tv equiped rooms,
comfortable beds, nice bath, everything you could want & it has a nice
indoor pool & jacuzzi, a handy store, and despite what is said on the
web site the best breakfasts I had in America, waffle machine,
breackfast cerials, bagels, toast oj, the works. Staf were friendly,
would certanly stay again.

"Excellent value in a beautiful place." |

"Booking late for Yosemite is not advised but we got lucky. Although the
hotel is a short drive from the Park, it is set in a great place with a
river running past across the road - The Merced.
The hotel is not set
up for luxury but for comfort and convenience and provides both more
than adequately.
If you are looking for a good restaurant-style
meal, I would recommend going outside of the hotel as the catering here
is in the style of a fifties diner, with fast food being the staple -
great if you want to just grab a bite after a day of hiking but not
suited to those looking for a multi-course, cosy meal.
Rooms are
all clean, spacious and well maintained, ours having two double beds,
bathroom and vanity unit, tv and telephone and air
conditioning.
"
The best thing about Cedar Lodge was:"Comfortable rooms."

"A convenient location in a beautiful setting" |

"This was an unexpected jewel of a hotel. Set in a gateway village
approx 5 miles from the Yosemite National Park. The hotel served
excellent and reasonably priced food with good beers on tap (inlcuding
Newcastle Brown bizarrely). There is both an indoor and outdoor swimming
pool. Rooms aren't luxurious but for the price are very well equipped.
Check routes before leaving for the hotel because at the time of writing
(26/7/06) there has been a landslide on the road that the hotel is on
(the I-140 I think) which required us to take a detour through Yosemite
(there are worse places to reroute through) of 100 miles. Enjoy."

"Great value in a magnificent location" |

"We stayed over 2 nights (with two young children) and were pleasantly
surprised by the standard of the room. It was raining during our stay
and the time we could spent outside in the park was limited so we really
appreciated the indoor pool. We'd also recommend the delicious
breakfast including superb pancakes! Very friendly people and great bear
stories. "
