"The Shilo Hotel in Oakhurst offers a good standard of accommodation in a
location providing easy access to the Yosemite National Park and to
local facilities. However, do not underestimate the time it might take
you to travel into Yosemite np along the picturesque but very winding
road from Oakhurst.

The worst thing about Shilo Inn Oakhurst was: "The obtrusive noise caused early each morning by tourist buses running
engines for more than 45 minutes before passengers embarked. Rooms at
the back of the hotel are subject to this unnecessary intrusion for far
too long when buses are present.

"Friendly staff, excellent value in top class location, will

"This is a good quality family hotel, the staff were extremely friendly
during our four day stay and we would not hesitate to recommend this
hotel to friends and relatives. The facilities in and around the hotel
are good and well maintained.
Good restuarant facilties are
within easy walking distance.
The hotel is in a good spot for
commuting to and from Yosemite National Park, however the road is very
twisty so caution is required. PLease beware of animals such as deer and
bears in the road especially at dawn and dusk."

"High standard accomodation very convenient for south end of Yosemite
and half day drive to San Francisico. Spacois rooms, reasonable
breakfast which you can collect and take to yourroom. Area billed as
fitness area very basic small mount of equpment"
