Cheap and discount hotels and accommodation in Adelaide, Australia

Calming hills, crashing waves and a whole valley of wine.

Adelaide is the centre of South Australia's booming wine industry. Check out the The National Wine Centre, a showcase for Australia's wine industry or Penfolds Magill Estate in the Adelaide foothills. Drop in for tastings, or join a winery tour - including one about Australia's most famous wine, Grange. With a climate perfect for alfresco dining much of the year, there is a relaxed and high-quality food and wine culture where fine dining, café culture and great pubs and bars mix together. You'll find entire streets devoted to dining.
Arts and culture. Shopping and sports. Food and festivals.

Immerse yourself in the culture of the city's North Terrace, with its museums and libraries. Or indulge in retail therapy at Rundle Mall, sample the variety of tastes on offer at the famed Adelaide Central Market, follow in the footsteps of sporting champions at the world-famous Adelaide Oval. Or enjoy a retreat to the cosmopolitan seaside suburbs of Glenelg and Brighton.

Our customer's tips and city guides for Adelaide:

"Dont go in the summer cos it might be 47 degrees ! "
Ms B Keyte of London (Solo leisure) stayed: Mercure Grosvenor Hotel, Jan 2009

"If you like cricket, go on the Adelaide Oval tour. Very interesting. 10 A.M. every morning. Spend a morning/afternoon in Glenelg. See the city from Mount Lofty - very good views. Splash out in the Central Markets - loads of good stalls. "
Mr W Goodison of Bristol (Solo leisure) stayed: Mercure Grosvenor Adelaide Hotel, Oct 2008

"Some events were cancelled due to the heat wave, so check before venturing out, and have plenty of water! Also, the indoor market, definitely worth visiting, is not open every day - we were told. Loads of other events on going throughout the year, both in and around Adelaide. There is a web site for Adelaide which is worth a look. Beautiful area. Easy to drive around. However, do do the tram between Glenlg and the centre of Adelaide. The marina is very close to the hotel. Boat trips were good. Would like to return to do more! "
Mrs C Bridger of Haslemere (Young adult friends) stayed: Stamford Grand Adelaide Hotel, Mar 2008
