"We spent 4 comfortable nights our son came and slept on the pull out bed
and he found that very comfortable as well.we made good use of the
little kitchenette doing our breakfasts and also had one breakfast in
the restaurant, good choice but a little expensive . the location of
hotel was very good close to stations and within walking distance of
shops .overall we thought it was good value and a lovely hotel I would
recommend it to anyone.

"Great quality at a good price

"When our shuttle bus dropped us off at the hotel I was impressed with
the location and appearance. All the staff were polite and the
facilities were superb.
The view from our room was great, across the City (although not the harbour- given the location)
The only minor points were that on one occassion our key card failed, which was a minor inconvenience and that our air conditioning unit ommitted a rather strange smell when first in operation (not unlike urine).
However, neither of these points detracted from an enjoyable stay (and I only mention them as I have been asked for this feedback)

The best thing about Travelodge Sydney was:"Cleanliness

The worst thing about Travelodge Sydney was: "Odour in room- possibly from a/c (you did ask)

"Location Fantastic, Basic Accommodation but ok
" |

"We have just returned from a 2 week trip to Sydney and we stayed the
full 2 weeks in the Travelodge in Wentworth Avenue. After the flight
from hell we arrived and to be honest I was dreading it after reading
the reviews on here before we left, but because of the location we
thought we would grin and bear it. The check-in was quick and painless
the booking was there and the lady behind the desk was polite and nice.
She explained all about the Key card needed to access the lifts which I
thought was good, thin gs like breakfast information and suck like.
We arrived in our room and i was so surprised yes it was small but infact it wasn't that small for 2 of us, there was a another pull out bed in there if there were 3 of you but then it would have been to cramped. There was a little kitchenette thing with fridge, microwave and sink. They provided an iron, ironing board all the cuttelery we needed and a kettle, also there was washing up cloths and teatowel also provided. We could not fault the facilities they were clean and useable and not chipped or broken or anything.
There was 2 single beds which were fine with sheets not quilts which were clean and smelt ok mainlly of bleach but not horrible like some hotels., the room was air conditioned which was nice and helped in the heat of the day. We had a nice window view windows didn't open but for obvious reasons. The room was basic but fine and to be honest we couldn't fault it. The came in and cleaned up everyday and occasionally when we hadn't washed up they also did that for us.
All in all it was ok, the staff were helpful and gave us good advice of where to eat out and places to visit that were off the tourist list. The breakfast in the hotel i agree wasn't worth it and if there is a large number of coach parties in the breakfast in the morning can be really busy and noisey.
"
The best thing about Travelodge Sydney was:"The Location is great for exploring and a lot of the day trip pick up
are just around the corner from there.
"
The worst thing about Travelodge Sydney was: "Lack of facilities, there was a bar never open when we were there,
breakfast expensive.Smallish rooms

"There could have been a bit more varied choice with the breakfast, got
fed up eating the same every day. Ok for a 1 or 2 night stay because of
this. No other complaints though.

"Good value for money for a family stay
" |

"The hotel was good value with clean rooms and good service. Reception
staff were unhelpful when we found ourselves without baggage. Despite
several promises from a variety of staff on reception , they did not
notify us, or leave a message on the telephone when delayed baggage
finally arrived frome the airport after two days. There was no apology
from reception staff when we chased up the baggage. The bags had been
left in reception by the airport courier service 12 hours before we
finally received it. The breakfast was good and the rooms were very
comfortable.
"
The best thing about Travelodge Sydney was:"Comfortable rooms

The worst thing about Travelodge Sydney was: "Inefficient reception staff (see comments about delayed baggage)

"Practical, Clean Rooms but poor breakfast
" |
|
"Reasonably priced and not too far from city centre. Useful to have self
service laundry facilities on number of floors & ironing boards in the
rooms when back packing. We left our luggage there on the last day and
went out for the afternoon, bit surprised to be able to just walk in and
collect our stuff on our return, we could have been anyone. No one asked
for our receipts. Our room also had microwave, fridge & sink etc
Breakfast was poor ( a few choice's of cereal, tinned fruit and a
unhealthy looking streaky bacon selection) not included in the room
price, would have eaten out if we'd realised what we were agreeing to.
