Description of the Metropole Hotel
A lovely, traditional hotel with high ceilinged 19th century lobby, a landmark and part of the history of the town. Gourmet restaurant (closed Saturday and Sunday), bar, pavement cafe with much character and atmosphere. Superb location, five minutes walk from the Grand Place. Comfortable rooms, some traditional in style and some in art-deco. Health centre. Officially rated 5 star, we feel that 4 star superior is more appropriate although the service is very professional and personalised. Highly recommanded hotel.
