Exquisitely set on the beach of Maimon Bay, Riu Merengue provides panoramic views of surrounding green mountains and lush tropical gardens. It is the perfect place to enjoy an unforgettable vacation. The main building houses La Rumba, a lounge bar, La Roca, a restaurant with a non-smoking section, a kiosk, boutique and an internet room.
Other facilities include a sparkling swimming pool, complimentary lounge chairs, towels and umbrellas by the pool area and a solarium. Enjoy a snack or drink at the pool snack bar or La Tambora beach bar. Dont forget to stop by the Tilki bar for a refreshing beverage.
All of our 544 luxury guestrooms feature private bathrooms, central air-conditioning and a balcony or terrace. Amenities include telephone, minibar and liquor dispenser, satellite TV and an in-room safe. Additionally, our suites have a bathroom with a bidet and hairdryer, an extra TV and a living room.
This all inclusive hotel provides all meals and snacks. For breakfast enjoy a full American breakfast buffet and on the spot cooking stations, or opt for a lighter continental breakfast. Lunchtime highlights include cold and warm dishes buffet and on the spot cooking stations with snacks, pizzas, pasta, fresh fruits and salads. Dinner is an event at La Roca with buffets, including theme buffets two nights a week, and on the spot cooking stations. Snacks are available until 2:00a.m. All beverages are included with unlimited domestic beverages (soft and alcoholic drinks) until 02.00 a.m., access to all bars within the Riu Resort and in-room mini-bar and liquor dispenser re-stocking.
Take it easy or work up a sweat! We have a variety of sports and activities you can participate in: Ping-Pong, workout, water polo, gym, billiards, beach volleyball, 3 lighted tennis courts. Learn to windsurf, sail, or kayak during your stay. Also available are water bicycles, body board and snorkeling gear.
