| Description of the Konigin Luise Hotel |
This contemporary hotel is situated within an oasis of tranquillity in the old Eastern part of Berlin. It is not as central as many, but the number of facilities within the hotel and the small extras that often go a long way ensure that this hotel remains as popular, if not more so, than its four star counterparts which are more central. It sits close to a lake and large park area, whilst rooms also benefit from kitchens or kitchenettes which are often considered a real bonus for that all important cuppa in the morning. The building's large glass façade is quite impressive and unique in appearance, bringing lots of light into the reception area. The popular restaurant leads onto a beer garden with a seating capacity of over 300 and is mostly used in the summer. Bedrooms are spacious whilst traditional and a real bonus must be the ticket/ pass issued for free public transport during your stay. Alexanderplatz can also be reached in 15minutes by tram although the hotel also has its own fleet of bicycles for hire from reception.
