| Description of the Beys (Spetses Town) Hotel |
Set within its own grounds, the Beys has become a solid and well established complex on this most beautiful of Greek Islands. All the compact little rooms enjoy private balconies with views of either a verdant backdrop or the pool area. They feature air-conditioning and a mini-fridge to keep your drinks chilled. There is a large sun terrace where you can enjoy a drink or two from the bar whilst the pool offers a tempting opportunity to relax away the lazy days before enjoying the sophistication of the swish local nightlife. A particularly romantic thing to try is a journey to your accommodation by the horse and carriage, Spestes is famous for this as its main form of public transport.

The bus stops several time on the way, Piraeus harbour is the last stop. The Metro also operates a regular and efficient service to Pireaus. Once you arrive at the Piraeus main station simply turn right, crossing the busy road to where all the ferry boats are and you will see all the boats for Spetses. If you prefer to travel by sea cat/hydrofoil, then a taxi to the port of Marina Zea (10mins away) will reduce the sea crossing by half. Spestes is the furthest of the Saronic islands but... There is always a price to pay for the best!! Boat crossing between 3-4hrs, hydrofoil crossing between 2 -2.5 hours. On arrival at Spetses port please make your way along the jetty 300m (turning left along the water front) to the Travel agency "Alasia". You will see it from the jetty. Please produce your accommodation voucher and you will be given a free return transfer to the hotel. |
