| Description of the Loftleidir Hotel |
Offering a unique retro architectural appearance complimented by a more contemporary interior, the Loftleidir is situated close to the domestic airport within the centre for leisure flights across Iceland and Greenland. Loftleidir also offers a perfect opportunity to sample one of the capital's more long standing and much loved hotels. A true feature of the hotel has to be its pool which also happens to be the only one offered by any city hotel. The hotel offers a shuttle service for quick and speedy access into the centre and cycle hire can be arranged for touring. Souvenir shop, ATM machine, hair salon and popular restaurant / bar are all primary features of the hotel's overall popularity.

| From the airport:- | The airport transfer bus "Fly bus" operates a direct service from the airport and stops off at hotels in Reykjavik. Journey time 45mins c. 1,150 ISK. A direct taxi transfer is around 30mins c. 10,000 ISK. |

"Excellent hotel for short break" |

"Rooms small by us standard but about same as other European City hotels
and I understand much larger than other Iceland hotels. Very clean, well
maintained. Described as Continental Breakfast -- this is excellent
selection of hot and cold buffet. Restaurant very good for evening meal
(but pricy as are all restaurants in city).
Good location just far
enough fron city centre , 15 min walk, hotel shuttle bus useful but
infrequent, easy parking.
Next to internal flight only airport, no
night flights, and very little noise.
