"Since the hotel is situated just off the Ponte Vecchio, I was a little
worried when I booked about the possible noise from the street at night.
It really wasn't too bad, though. Take ear plugs just to be on the safe
side: some of the garbage pick-ups are a little boisterous.
It was wonderful just to walk out the hotel doors and be right in the thick of the magical city. All the staff members were so welcoming, helpful and efficient. Our room was clean and air conditioned; the bed, very comfortable. The bathroom came equipped with one of those 'vacuum hose' hairdryers I always associate with Italy - part of the fun of being on holiday there! Might be a bit of a problem, though, if you've got a Rapunzel mane...
We started each day with the generous breakfast buffet on the upper terrace - great food and even better staff. From the terrace, we looked out onto the Duomo and Palazzo Vecchio. How wonderful is that?
When we return to Firenze, we'll also return to the Pitti Palace Hotel. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff for making our visit so special.
"
The best thing about Pitti Palace was:"Utterly fabulous breakfast buffet and the view from the breakfast
terrace.
"
The worst thing about Pitti Palace was: "Can't think of anything hideous...
