Relais Villa Baldelli, a 17th century villa, which has undergone indispensable and maticulious restoration due to the needs of its new receptive function, has maintained its original unaltered condition inside and out. The original working water well is supplied by an underground water table, the paths and the trees invite you to rest and find peace in their shade, the paving is in cobblestone, the walls of the rooms are lightly painted with pastoral frescoes and decorated with vintage paintings and printed reproductions.
Relais Villa Baldelli is a real discovery for tourists: immersed in the peace and quiet of the pleasant and abundant surrounding countryside, even thought it is dose to residential areas and transportation routes. If you look up you will see the rooftops, belfries and towers softly reaching towards the west like a painting hanging in the air in limbo: it is Cortona, the oldest city in Italy, as written by the American writer Henry James enchanted by the city.
