Rivamare Hotel welcomes you for a pleasant stay! Culture and relax are combined on the Lido, one of the many islands forming Venice. The Lido island is both the beach and the garden of Venice: with its 10 kms. of sandy beaches facing the Adriatic sea, and its boulevards surrounded of high trees and private and public gardens. On this island you will enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere, the ideal getaway after all the crowd any tourist in Venice encounters. Our beach has been awarded with the exclusive eco-label Blue Flag of Europe 2001 by the FEEE - Foundation for Environmental Education in Europe. The Lido island is very well connected day and night to St. Mark's square, the heart of Venice, only 12 min. of pleasant boat ride across the lagoon.
The Hotel Rivamare is run by the Salmasi Family since four generations. We have to go back to 1938, when Angelo and Angela built it just in front of the Venice beach on Lido island.
During the Second World War the Hotel was occupied first by the Germans, then by US Allied Forces to host the headquarters of the Australian contingency. At the end of the war one of Angelo's and Angela's four sons: Aldo, refurbished and enlarged the building completely to continue the family tradition in hospitality. Throughout the 80's Gianfranco and Gabriele following their father's steps further improved and updated the facility. Nowadays Micaela and Giulia, daughters respectively of Gianfranco and Gabriele are carrying on the Hoteliers activity…and they are naturally proud of it!
Venice is formed by many islands. Rivamare Hotel is located on Lido Island, on the most beatiful and exclusive position on the beachfront: in front of the Excelsior Beach, close to the The Film Festival and Congress Palace, and all the most important cultural attractions, sport and entertainment facilities. Lido is the only island of Venice that can be easily reached with your own car or bus by ferry-boat leaving every 50 minutes from the mainland.
The Rivamare is a small and cozy two star hotel of a very high standard. It features 28 rooms all of them with private bathroom. All the rooms are quite large and comfortable. All the rooms have telephone, TV and air conditioning. Some of them have terrace and seaview.All the rooms and bathrooms have been remodeled on 2001. Other Hotel facilities are the restaurant hall where every morning a rich buffet breakfast is prepared, and the adjoining terrace where clients can relax drinking or having a light snack.

Busses pass in front of the hotel every 10 minutes for the short ride to the vaporetto stop for boats direct to st. Marks Square.
