| Description of the Canal And Walter Hotel |
This cosy, small hotel, situated alongside a canal, is a few mins walk from both Piazzale Roma and the railway station. Traditional and characteristic with wooden beamed public areas, offering comfortable surroundings. All rooms have now been renovated in an attractive Venetian style. Bathrooms are modern. Staff very friendly. Short vaporetto ride to Rialto or 20 mins walk. Excellent value!

Customer reviews of the Canal And Walter Hotel

"Disappointing

"Our original room overlooked the grand canal and the hotel had given us
a room with a bath, as requested. However, the room was basic and in a
poor state of decoration. My partner found the room very noisy and we
changed to a room at the rear of the hotel which was quieter and in
better state of decoration, but only had a shower and no bath.
I was disappointed with the buffet breakfast and choice was very limited - no fresh or dried fruit, no flavoured yoghurts, no cold meat or cheese. My partner said the coffee was excellent, however, I am a tea drinker and this was weak and only luke warm.
The hotel was also further away from the centre than I had hoped.
I would not stay in this hotel again.
