Customer reviews of the Russo Palace On Venice Lido Hotel

"Good value in Venice" |
|
"We arrived to Venice on a Saturday morning. It was a busy period and we
had to cross the island before we were able to cross over to the Lido.
Despite what it appeared to be a long distance on arrival, the Lido is
only ten minutes from S. Marcus Square and the vaporetto service is
extremely frequent - even at night.
As for the hotel in itself,
the room was slightly small, although very comfortable and with a
beautiful view to a peaceful residential area. As we have two young
children, the hotel also supplied a single bed and a cot.
The
breakfast was served as a buffet and it was very nice, with a huge
variety of everything. The hotel, although, did not have a restaurant
which was a little disappointing because it would have been a lot more
practical with the children. It also did not have any high
chairs.
Overall, the Russo Palace is very good value. It is not
in the centre of Venice, but this also allows to explore the charms of
the Lido. The ferry service is efficient and very regular.
The rooms
are very comfortable and the buffet is very good. Despite their
attention with the children it is not the most child friendly hotel and
I would probably choose a different one if I was to travel with young
children again. For a couple or with older children, the hotel is ideal
- and the prices are probably the best you will ever find!
Enjoy
your stay, I certainly enjoyed mine..."
The best thing about Russo Palace On Venice Lido was:"Fantastic buffet breakfast"
The worst thing about Russo Palace On Venice Lido was: "Lack of communal areas"
