| Description of the The Maples B And B Hotel |
Situated in the harbour of the French colony Akaroa, New Zealand, The Maples Bed and Breakfast is a charming original home built by an early settler in 1877. Being a sawmiller by trade, he incorporated a unique Birds eye Totara stair case which leads upstairs to the bedrooms.
The house is set in a quiet peaceful garden setting, surrounded by native trees. The town centre, wharf and water front is only 3 minutes stroll, providing easy access to the town cafes, bars, facilities and activities.
All rooms have electric blankets, hairdryers, heaters, fresh flowers, & wonderfully comfortable beds. In winter you can enjoy the warmth of the log fire in the guests lounge where complimentary tea & coffee facilities are available at any time you wish.
