Cheap and discount hotels and accommodation in Almeria Coast, Spain

An Outdoor Paradise Like no Other

Almeria's beaches are famous the world over for their sparkling blue waters and decadent holiday lifestyle, while the coastal resorts offer the most dazzling array of sporting facilities imaginable. Play a round on an exclusive luxury golf course, enjoy endless games of tennis and squash, take a horse ride through the surrounding Andalucían hills and dive into the water-sports capital of Europe .
Almeria is a city bathed in the Andalucian sun which combines Spanish & European flavours with that unique taste of being so close to the African coast. The historic past of Almeria dates back to the days of the Phoenicians, Greeks and Carthaginians who found the ideal location in this land to settle and trade; which the Romans were also able to do when they turned the province into Portus Magnus of the Mediterranean. In the 10th century, the Arabs founded what is now the capital and named it Almeria - the origin of what is now known today.

Our customer's tips and city guides for Almeria Coast:

"If you like boats visit the harbour at Almerimar "
Mr A Peterson of Hastings (Family with young children) stayed: Moguima Hotel, Sep 2007

"Beach beds could work out expensive for a family over 2 weeks at £2 each per day, good walking shoes - half hour walk to the shops. Room has no facilities for cuppa or cooler. Great central place to stay for sightseeing up and down the costa, as we did. "
Mr D Scott of Gateshead (Mature couple) stayed: Zoraida Garden Hotel, May 2007

"Visit Don Jamons bar "
Mr P Flynn of Liverpool (Solo leisure) stayed: Neptuno Hotel, May 2007

"Beprepared to chill out "
Mr P Flynn of Liverpool (Seniors (65+)) stayed: Bahia Serena Hotel, Apr 2007

"Hire a car, it is dead cheap, and explore. Roads are very good and a trip to Grenada is well worth it. Great places to eat are obviously The sabinal, but also La Cebolla up the main road, and the chineses on the corner by the sea, it is very good and they give you a bottle of superb wine to boot. "
Mr F Power of Skelmersdale (Mature couple) stayed: Hesperia Sabinal Hotel, Feb 2007
