CATALONIA ALBÉNIZ is a modern and cozy hotel that offers a wide range of leisure activities. Not far away are Gaudi's master piece, the Sagrada Familia church, and two important shopping centres, Glòries and La Maquinista. This hotel offers warm and friendly service. Its 47 rooms are all equipped with air conditioning, piped-in music, direct dial telephone, minibar, satellite TV, Canal + and a complete marble bathroom with a hair dryer. The Sagrada Familia church is close to the hotel.
Antoni Gaudi designed and began supervising construction on this Modernist temple in the early 20th century. Not far from the church you can visit the Hospital Sant Pau built by the famous architect Lluis Domenech i Montaner, another Modernist building with an impressive central pavilion. Gaudi's large garden, Guell Park, is on a hill. You need only go up the hill of the park to enjoy a breathtaking view of Barcelona.
