Our customer's tips and city guides for Seville: |

"Seville is a fine city and built on a human scale once you get in from
the ring road, a lot of refurbishment is going on but even the more run
down areas have a charm. The main sites are well worth investigating if
you can get to see them without too many of your fellow
tourist/travellers. Extensive and very well designed pedestrianisation
in the centre make shopping, sightseeing, eating and drinking a
pleasant stress free experience. We found the Sevillanos to be friendly
and the cost of living there to be very reasonable. Plenty of fine
Tapas bars and good restaurants particularly the 'Rio Grande' on the
river front across the bridge from Plaza de Cuba is great for lunch or
a special meal in the evening. We were impressed with Seville and
intend to visit again.

"I have many good things to say about Seville. The city is so pretty and
I was helped out every time I got lost by friendly locals. I was not
scared to walk the streets in the evening alone as there are always
people around and everywhere is well lit. I would recommend going to the
top of the cathedral ( if you can manage a lot of steps ) as it has a
lovely view of the whol city. The only warning I have is to be careful
of people approaching you selling things. Someone stole my mobile from
my table in a cafe by distracting me by leaning over without warning and
kissing me on both cheeks.

"Seville is a lovey city. There is a lot of road works at the moment but
this didn't spoil it really. We did the tour bus which was fun but it is
small enough to wonder around on foot. Driving is a nightmare and I
wouldn't recommend it especially if your hotel has no carpark - you will
find it very difficult to park anywhere. The architecture is beautiful,
lots of expensive shops, nice bars and restaurants and cake shops. We
took a drive out to Cordoba (about an hour away) to see the mosque -
which is well worth it - give yourself around 2-3 hours there though -
it was magnificent.
