| General information: |
Named after the great English naval hero Lord Nelson, who won the battle of Trafalgar against Napoleon, Lord Nelson Hotel hotel is perfectly situated on the Old Town, around the corner from Stockholm's Royal Castle.
Here you stay in a tall, narrow 17th century building that is reminiscent of an old ship. In the 17th century it was inhabited by a printer named Ignatius Mauer who, together with Göran Helsing, was responsible for printing Swedens Charles X version of the bible. You can see a copy for yourself, proudly displayed in the hotel lobby.
Location: Perfectly situated on the Old Town, around the corner from Stockholm's Royal Castle.
Area: Centrally located, 10 min to the City and Central Station.
Recreation: The floors of our hotel are called the Gun Deck, Middle Deck, Upper Deck, Quarter Deck and Poop Deck. Visitors are welcomed in the lobby by Lord Nelson himself; one-eyed, one-armed and somewhat intimidating. It is said that this wooden figurehead of the famous admiral once decorated the prow of a British sailing ship.
Rooms: All 29 charming rooms in the hotel have been named after the antique ship models displayed within. Just as in our other rooms, the characteristic wooden flooring further contributes to the maritime atmosphere. Private bath with shower, cable TV, Internet access and hair dryer.
