| Description of the Montien Riverside Hotel |
The hotel has a nice riverside location on Bangkok's Rama 3 Road in one of Bangkok's more relaxed but very accessible areas. Guest rooms are large and very well appointed with medium sized bathrooms that are in very good condition. Superior rooms are on 7 to 15th Floor and have both impressive panoramic river and city views. The hotel has 6 dining options including Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese and international cuisine - we recommend trying out the "Montienship" which is the hotels own luxuriously converted teakwood rice barge which departs for a dinner cruise everyday at 7.30pm. This hotel has a good range of leisure facilities to help you relax after a day out shopping! Great Value.

| Restaurant:- | Café restaurant serving international cuisine, open 24 hours daily. Serves dinner and lunch. |
| Families:- | There are rooms for families (2 adults, 2 children), plus interconnecting rooms. Professional babysitters can be arranged. There is a children's menu and highchairs in the restaurant. |
| Business facilities:- | There is a business centre located on 24th floor open from 7am to 10pm. 10 Meeting rooms are available accommodating 10-500 persons (Classroom style). Internet Corner available 7am till 10pm costing Baht 200 per half hour. |
| Disabled facilities:- | There are no disabled facilities at this hotel, but wheelchairs can access the lift. |
| 20 mins walk:- | Chao Phraya River. The hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle (every hour during the day and every half hour in the evening) to the shopping and entertainment areas of Bangkok. |
| Public transport:- | Nearest skytrain station to hotel is a 10 minute drive by free shuttle. |
| From the airport:- | Easiest and direct method of public transport to hotel is hotel Limousine costing Baht 950 one way. Taxi direct from airport to hotel takes about 30mins costing approx Baht 400. |
| Parking:- | Private, covered parking is available free of charge. |
| Bar:- | Opening times are 10am till 12midnight serving snacks. |
| Spa:- | Sauna open from 6.30am to 10pm costing Baht 200 per time. |
| Gym:- | Full gym open 6.30am till 10pm, free of charge. |
| Room facilities:- | Triple rooms are made up of a twin or double with a rollaway bed. Non-smoking rooms are available. Room safes are charged at Baht 100 per day but safes in reception are free. |
| Pool:- | Outdoor pool open 7am till 9pm, free of charge. |
| Bathroom:- | All rooms have bath and separate shower. |

"Excellent value in a quiet location

"The rooms and food in the hotel are of a very good standard, as is the
polite and friendly service. However, two things let the hotel down:-
1. The internet access was very restrictive and expensive for a hotel of this calibre.
2. Travelling to and from the city is very difficult for the western traveller. The hotel bu/taxi is good but infrequent and the taxi drivers do not know the way to the Riverside hotel - preferring to take us to the city Montien hotel. We found them to be unhelpful.
These were the only two points that slightly marred the excellent stay we had in this comfortable, clean and friendly hotel.
