| Description of the Allegro Hotel |
The Allegro is a trendy boutique hotel located in Chicago's downtown loop area. The lobby is impressive with furnishings that are vibrant and luxurious whilst still being inviting. with a floor that has striking black and white squares. Guestrooms blend modern colours and styles with the original Art Deco design. All of the beds have stylishly upholstered, oversized headboards in bold chocolate and cream colours which compliment the theme of the room. All rooms have Sony sound system, flat screen televisions, complimentary high speed internet access, complimentary daily newspapers, bath robes and luxurious Aveda bath products. The hotel has a complimentary wine reception from 5 till 6 in the evenings every day and an award winning restaurant that should definitely be tried.

| Families:- | The hotel has a number of interconnecting rooms. Cots and high chairs are available on request. The restaurant also offers a children's menu. |
| Business facilities:- | 24 hour business centre, including complimentary wireless internet access throughout the hotel and guest rooms. There are also a number of meeting rooms that can be hired. |
| Disabled facilities:- | All public areas are fully accessible for disabled guests as are a number of the guest rooms |
| 20 mins walk:- | State Street shopping area, Michigan Avenue shops, Magnificent Mile, Marshall Fields and plenty of theatres and a number of bars and restaurants. |
| Public transport:- | The hotel is just a couple of blocks away from a number of subway and train stations. Washington/Wells is the closest just one block away. |
| From the airport:- | O'Hare International Airport, Taxi direct, c. $35 takes approx 30 minutes. Alternatively there is a shared-ride program where visitors will be charged a flat rate of $20. Or take the train - the Blue Line to Clark and Lake and cross the street to La Salle and Randolph (approx. 45 mins.). Cost c. $1.75 trains run all night but are less frequent between 1.00 and 5.00. |

"I made a a few brownie points[which is a good thing here in the uk]
,when I chose this hotel for our first stay in chicago,from the man on
the kerb outside,the front office staff at check in to the young lady
who brought us our breakfast , all were most helpfull,and made our stay
so enjoyable,the entrance and foyer were most impressive,as was our room
which had everything we required, a great place to stay
