"I was slightly concerned over some of the older reviews (2005/6).
However, this hotel is in an excellent location and being older is full
of character. Overall I loved it and won't hesitate to stay there again.

"The hotel has an excellent location. The rooms are not particularly
clean although we did get moved immediately when we complained. On our
arrival the receptionist did not tell us about any of the hotel
facilities so we never used the bar or restaurant. We may have used the
bar if we knew it was there. Whilst there we had a problem with our safe
and the handyman was excellent. Overall we had a good stay in the end
after a few initial problems but don't expect too much. I wish we had
just stayed at the Hilton for an extra £38.

nearby restaurants and shops. Good value and woulod recommend to family
and friends.

"We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. The location was great - right
next to the Hancock Centre. The rooms were fair sized, and the
bathrooms were nice too.

"Friendly and very helpful staff. The restaurant linked to the hotel is
of a very high standard - only complaint jumbo portions.
With the hotel the decor in the rooms could do with sprucing up but all in all a good hotel and the location could not be better
