"Okay for the price - Good location

"This hotel has a nice lobby, good check-in staff, great concierge and
valet service, fantastic pool and hot spa right on the beach, but they
really need to spend a few dollars on the rooms! In saying that, the bed
was very clean and extremely comfy, the bathroom was average - perfectly
acceptable, but the bedroom carpet was covered in big nasty stains and
the ceiling was very flaky. Also, it was extremely windy during our stay
and the door to the balcony constantly rattled and banged very noisily
which drove me nuts, but my husband soon solved the problem by wedging a
chair under the doorhandle! Nice touch providing a small fridge and a
microwave in the room as this enabled us to keep cold drinks etc and
cook simple food/snacks which we bought from the nearby (easy walking
distance) Winn & Dixie supermarket. I think if the hotel owners spent
maybe $1500 on each room (new carpet, new curtains & matching bedspread
and a lick of fresh paint) this hotel would easily be considered
'Excellent' instead of just 'Average!

"For a hotel with a swimmingpool they should have free umbrella s with
the lounge chairs instead of having to pay for rolling lounge chairs usd
35,00 a day. We had the idea that the whole swimmingpool area and the
beach were outsourced to a beach club. Also the lounge chairs on the
beach with umbrella s had to be paid for. We choose this hotel because
we saw that there were lounge chairs with umbrella S. Very disappointing
The only thing you did not have to pay for were the loungechairs which
were standing in 5 or 6 rows and approximately 12 / 15 next to each
other with no umbrella s at all. Reminded me of the beach in Puerto Rico
on Las Palmas. We think the hotel has to mention the payment for the
special loungechairs at the swimmingpool and the beach.
Rooms were good and we really enjoyed the balcony. There were even 2 chairs on the balcony. The only thing we had to do was to put the inside table on the balcony. Suggestion is that the hotel puts an extra table on the balconies.
When we arrived the fridge was open and has an icelayer of approximately 12 centimeters After having reported it to the desk they said they would replace the fridge. 14 days later it was not yet done
Parking Fee USD 8,00 per 24 hours
Overall the staff was nice and polite and we did enjoy our stay.
It is not in the city centre of Fort Lauderdale but if you have a car
you can go everywhere.
