A nice hotel located in the heart of North Hollywood on seven tree-shaded acres with views of Hollywood Hills and only minutes from the famous Universal Studios. Guestrooms are a good size, traditional in style with floral bedspreads. All rooms benefit from a balcony - a great place to chill out after a busy day site-seeing. The hotel is particularly good for families and those who enjoy a resort style hotel with facilities such as a swimming pool and tennis courts. There is a casual restaurant located on site serving Californian cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel also offers a shuttle to Universal Studios and the nearest subway station for those who prefer not to hire a car.

"Ideal location for Universal Studios and Hollywood

"This hotel represented good value for money. We arrived early for check-
in and the reception accommodated us straight away but not in the type
of room originally booked, a compromise we found acceptable. Our rooms
faced the freeway and were noisey, the patio doors to the balcony not
being very effective. Buffet breakfast was good although the pricing
was not clear. In the bar the price of the identical rounds of drinks
varied by a couple of dollars. On our second night the reception staff
decided there was an error with our booking, which they blamed on
Midas, the staff concerned did not accept the detail on the hotel
vouchers, which was correct, but kept stating that the computer booking
showed diferent info. Overall, as a base for our needs this hotel
provided the ideal location.

"Good clean rooms and friendly staff. Location good if you have a car. A
bit out of the way if you don'T. As always, it is cheaper to book this
hotel via the web than at the hotel reception desk. Crazy really......
The hotel restaurant has decent food at very reasonable prices. The
rooms have free WiFi access so its worth bringing your laptop rather
than paying for public internet services. There are no bars /
restaurants within walking distance of the hotel however, you can take
the hotel's complimentary shuttle bus to Universal Studios "City Walk"
where there are plenty of drinking / eating establishments.
